Biman Bangladesh Airlines, is the flag carrier of Bangladesh. Biman Bangladesh Airlines was created in February 1972. In modern Bengali, the word “biman” refers to “aeroplane”, originating from the Sanskrit word vimāna, a name given to a flying machine mentioned in ancient Vedic literature.
